Mumbai:
A new controversy has started with a statement by NCP President Sharad Pawar. He has said that in future some regional parties will merge with the Congress Party keeping their interests in mind. When Pawar was asked whether this applied to his own party NCP. On this he said that I do not see any difference between Congress and us. Ideologically we belong to Gandhi and Nehru ideology. Now after his indication, leaders of the ruling parties are claiming that Sharad Pawar’s NCP will merge with Congress after the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, a new debate has also arisen regarding the future of small parties.

Difficult for Pawar to run the party
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Sharad Pawar faction will merge with Congress in future, hence senior Pawar has given this statement. He said that after the split in the party, it would not be possible for Pawar to run his party. So now they are talking about merger.

The picture will be clear after June 4
Former CM and senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan said that I think all this will become clear after the results of Lok Sabha elections on June 4. He said that if the situation arises for the Indian coalition government to come to power, then some special circumstances will arise and many small parties will join hands or merge with the Congress party to come to power.

It is necessary to be united against BJP’s dictatorship
Congress State President Nana Patole said that recently when our party leader Rahul Gandhi had come to Pune. At that time he told me that everywhere in the state there is talk of including regional parties in Congress. It is necessary for many parties to unite against the dictatorship of BJP. All parties will work together under the leadership of Congress. So there is no condition.

Merger had happened even before this: Ajit Pawar
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar said that even before this his uncle Sharad Pawar had adopted such a role. When Samajwadi Party merged with Congress in 1986. Ajit said that he himself was a witness to this entire merger process. He has made it clear in his statement that there will be nothing new if his uncle merges his party with Congress.

Wadettiwar said, Sharad Pawar is Gandhian
Opposition leader Vijay Wadettiwar welcomed Sharad Pawar’s statement and said that the NCP president is basically of Gandhian ideology. No one can destroy Gandhian ideology. Some parties are like unseasonal rain. This kind of rain devastates people. This is the situation of the present ruling parties. But Congress is a party like a continuously flowing river. Who walks with her thoughts. In such a situation, we have no hesitation if any party merges with us.
