Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ has recently been released on Netflix. Strong acting of actress Aditi Rao Hydari has been seen in this series. Meanwhile, the actress has expressed her desire to work in a mystery thriller film.
Hydari was recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’. Her work in period drama started with Bhansali’s 2018 film ‘Padmavat’, in which she played the role of Mehrunissa, Alauddin Khilji’s wife. Meanwhile, he also worked in period drama shows like Taj: Divided by Blood and Jubilee.
Hydari told in an interview that I am lucky that I got the opportunity to become the face of these excellent period dramas. For some reason, people and directors think it works for me and I’m a part of it. I also feel very comfortable. Maybe it’s my love for music, dance, history and culture.
Hydari further explained that period dramas take you to a place that is truly Indian. Hiramandi also has this complete Indian art beauty, dance, music. I really enjoyed it. The artiste in me also wants to play diverse and contemporary roles.
Hydari also wants to work on projects like martial arts based film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and psychological thriller film Gone Girl. Many people associate Bhansali’s name with grandeur and spectacular presentation but they believe that Bhansali is also a deeply working director.
