According to language news, these trends related to summer travel have been released in a report. MakeMyTrip, a platform providing online travel related services, gave this information in its report released on summer travel trends on Wednesday.

Rajesh Mago, Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), MakeMyTrip, said that summer is always one of the biggest quarters of the year in terms of travel intentions and this year too the boom in the segment continues . We are seeing a healthy increase in searches related to this compared to last year.

Puri and Varanasi top pilgrimage sites

According to the news, travel portal MakeMyTrip said that the analysis of data for March-April 2024 compared to the same period last year has indicated the travel preferences of Indian tourists. These trends show that Puri and Varanasi are the most searched pilgrimage destinations online this summer, while the rate of information gathering about Ayodhya has increased rapidly.

Indians want to go here in international destination

According to MakeMyTrip data, the international destinations recording the highest growth in online searches are Baku, Almaty and Nagoya. Even travelers’ interest in Luxembourg, Langkawi and Antalya is increasing. Apart from this, the family travel segment has increased by 20 percent this year compared to the summer of 2023, while solo travelers have increased by 10 percent during this period.
