New Delhi: A Delhi court on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia till May 21 in a money laundering case related to the alleged Excise Policy Scam. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja extended Sisodia’s custody after he was produced before the court through video conferencing at the expiry of the judicial custody granted earlier.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi in the Liquor Policy Scam on March 9 last year. Sisodia had already been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) while investigating a case related to alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the excise policy of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD). He is currently in judicial custody in both the cases.
