Sports Desk, Indore. Amid growing military tension between India and Pakistan, the Indian cricket fraternity expressed its solidarity with the country’s armed forces. The BCCI suspended IPL 2025 for a week.
The current and former cricketers then expressed their support for the nation and the army. Operation Sindoor of India destroyed terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan authorized Kashmir. Pakistan attacked India on 7 May. The cricketers then started posting social media in support of the Indian Army.
Cricketers salute the armed forces
India’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah appreciated the bravery of the armed forces. He wrote that I am grateful for the courage and valor of our army. We salute them. Will always be indebted to the work done for our safety.
Senior cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also praised them earlier by honoring the services of the armed forces.
Army family gives sacrifices for the country
In IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill said that the nation is paramount in this difficult time. He wrote on X that the nation is at the top at such a time. Our soldiers ensure our safety. His families sacrifice for the country. We pray for you. Jai Hind.
KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav salute

Former cricketers Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik also expressed support for the Indian Army. He showed solidarity with the nation, appreciating the bravery and sacrifice of the army.
