New Delhi: India has attacked several terrorist bases of Pakistan and PoK last night. More than 100 terrorists are reported killed in this attack. In this ‘Operation Sindoor’ of India, 10 people of Jaish terrorist Masood Azhar’s family have also been killed. Apart from this, 4 close to Masood have also died.
Who is Masood Azhar?
Masood Azhar is a notorious terrorist who founded the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM). He was born on 10 July 1968 in Bahawalpur, Punjab province of Pakistan and his full name is Maulana Masood Azhar. He is considered a hand in many terrorist attacks in India. He is one of the most wanted terrorists for India.
Masood was arrested by Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir in 1994. But this year the Indian Airlines flight IC-814 was hijacked. In return, Masood was released. After this, India’s Parliament was attacked in 2001 and the name of Jaish -e -Mohammed came out in it.
Jaish’s name also appeared in the 2016 Pathankot attack. After this, Jaish also took responsibility for the attack on CRPF convoy.
What is Jaish -e -Mohammed?
This is an organization, which was founded by Masood Azhar in the year 2000. These organizations are known for terrorist activities in Kashmir and jihad against India. It is active in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. In 2019, the United Nations declared Masood Azhar as a global terrorist, after which it was imposed travel ban and economic restrictions.
