Douts were in mind regarding panchayat

Jitendra Kumar, who was seen in the lead role in the series, says that initially he did not agree to play the role of Secretary. He felt that the story of the panchayat would be like the American show ‘The Office’. In such a situation, he was not sure whether this character and series would be right for him or not. He had no idea that this series and his character would become one of OTT’s most prestigious show and character.
Jitendra Kumar did not want to play the role of Abhishek Tripathi
According to news agency PTI, Jitendra Kumar was not satisfied with playing the lead role of ‘Abhishek Tripathi’ in ‘Panchayat’. He was not intended to be a part of this series initially. The actor said that he never thought of being cast in the show, as its concept was woven around the panchayat office. It seemed to him like the American show The Office. However, after much research and location examined, he realized that it could not be limited to the panchayat office or Phulera, but it could be expanded.
Jitendra Kumar was nervous in the beginning
Jitendra Kumar further said that his participation in the panchayat series started when the team needed the secretary in the series. When he was offered the role of secretary in the panchayat, it was the beginning of his journey. According to Jitendra, in the early days he was quite nervous on the set. He was in a doubt about whether his performance would live up to the expectations of the makers and the audience. But, when the TVF team saw their work, they assured them that they are moving on the right path and doing good work. Talking about the panchayat season 4, it will knock on the prime video in July.
