Team India was fined due to slow over rate
The first match of the ODI tri -series was played on 27 April between hosts Sri Lanka and India at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo. Due to rain, this match was of 39-39 overs, which was won by Team India by a one-sided 9 wickets. In this match, the Indian women’s team faced a fine from the ICC on 29 April due to a slow over rate. In a statement issued by the ICC, he said that under Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for the players and the team’s support staff, the players are fined five percent of their match fees for each over if they fail to bowl in the time given by them.
Indian captain accepted a mistake
The penalty imposed by the ICC on the slow over rate has been accepted by the Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur along with the mistake, after which there will be no further formal hearing in the matter.
