BSNL 5G Service
After Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, government telecom company BSNL has also prepared to launch 5G. BSNL’s 5G service can start from June this year. Recently, Central Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has given this information. At the same time, BSNL CMD Robert J Ravi has also given great information about 5G service. CMD said that BSNL’s 5G service will be first started in which cities.
These cities will be launched first
The CMD of the Government Telecom Company has confirmed that BSNL 5G service will be launched in select cities in the coming few months. At the ET Telecom program, CMD Robert J Ravi said, ‘We are going to start 5G network in Delhi on the basis of Network-e-Sarvis (NAAS). We are going to track it fast. Apart from this, we will roll out 5G as soon as possible in some other cities in the next few months. This is our goal.
Let me tell you that last year, BSNL worked to test 5G service in Delhi under a pilot program. For this, the government telecom company has partnered with indigenous vendors. The 5G service of BSNL will be rolled out to Mumbai based Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) and Center for Development of Telematics (C-DOT). C-DOT is currently working to install 1 lakh new 4G mobile towers of BSNL.
Private companies collide
CMD Robert J Ravi said that the 5G technology is going to help the industry as well as the society and citizens in future. It will be benefited especially in rural areas. After the launch of 5G service, the government telecom company can compete with private telecom operators in terms of connectivity. The government had allocated a budget of more than 80 thousand crore rupees in the last year’s budget to revive BSNL.
