Australia’s women’s cricket team has taken an unassailable 2–0 lead in the 3-match T20I series and the third and last match of the series will be played at Wellington’s Sky Stadium. Australia has suffered a major setback from this match. Australia’s fast bowler Darcy Brown is out of the last match. Darcy Brown has gone to home to return home due to family reasons and will no longer be able to play in the third and final T20 match against New Zealand.
Replacement will not be announced
Darcy Brown bowled brilliantly in the first two matches of the series. He took one wicket for 22 runs in four overs in the first T20I played in Auckland and two wickets for 23 runs in four overs in Mount Munganui. With the help of this brilliant bowling of Brown, Australia managed to win both matches. Cricket Australia has confirmed that there will be no replacement in the team for the final match. Megan Scot was rested from the second T20I match and is likely to return to the team for the last match.
Charlie Not waiting for his debut
Australia’s vice-captain Ashley Gardner has already been out of the series. He was hurt in a finger in an attempt to take a catch during the first match played in Auckland. In that match, she could not even get down to bat. He then had to be ruled out of both the last two matches of the series. He was replaced by all -rounder Charlie Not Mount Mongui before the second match, but he has not yet got a chance to make his international debut.
