The pilot of Flight Number 91821 of Alliance Air going from Delhi to Shimla reported technical fault during the break during landing at Shimla Airport on Monday morning. Strong brakes installed
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that we reached Shimla by plane this morning. There was some problem in the aircraft landing. I do not have technical knowledge, but I can tell as a common man that when the aircraft was about to land, he did not land at the place where he should have landed. He could not stop and reached the place where the runway was over. According to the news, he said that the plane turned on the side of the runway and reached the place where it could be stopped. Strong brakes were installed to stop the aircraft. We had to stop 20-25 minutes in the aircraft.
Airline has lost losses
The Ministry of Civil Aviation recently told the Rajya Sabha that Alliance Air has lost about ₹ 535 crore in the first ten months of FY 2025, while half of its fleet had to be closed. Between FY 2022 and FY 24, the airline recorded a loss of ₹ 1,633 crore. Financial results for the current financial year are provisional. Before privatization in 2022, Alliance was a subsidiary of Air Air India. It is still a government -owned company. Alliance Air has 21 aircraft (20 ATRs and a Dornier Dornier). Ten of these are currently on, and other supply chains are waiting for the repair.
