The first match of the 18th season of the Indian Premier League was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore team at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. In the very first match of the season, the brilliant fans of this T20 league’s biggest player Virat Kohli’s bat were seen in which he made a record on his unbeaten innings of 59 runs that could not manage to make another player in the history of IPL so far. In this match, the RCB team got a target of 175 runs, which they achieved in 16.2 overs.

Kohli became the first player to score 1000 plus runs against four teams in IPL

Virat Kohli has now become the first player to score 1000 or more runs against four different teams in IPL history. Kohli faced 36 balls during his unbeaten innings of 59 runs in the match against KKR in which he hit four fours and hit three sixes. At the same time, Virat Kohli also scored more than 1000 runs against Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings team before completing his 1000 runs in the IPL against KKR. While Kohli has scored 1057 runs against Delhi Capitals, 1053 runs against Chennai Super Kings and 1030 against Punjab Kings.

RCB made its second highest score in powerplay in IPL history

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s team landed on the ground with a new opening pair in the 18th season of IPL, with the responsibility of starting the innings with Virat Kohli. Together, both of them have done a great start to the team in the first match in which the RCB team in the powerplay had brought their score to 80 runs in this match against KKR without any loss. This is RCB’s second highest score in powerplay so far in IPL history.
