Mahakal Temple
The police presented a charge sheet of 2360 pages in the court on Friday after a 90 -day intensive investigation in the name of darshan of the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. This charge sheet records the names of 14 accused and statements of 42 witnesses. The special thing is that 10 accused associated with the temple committee are in jail, while 4 accused are still absconding. The police has declared a reward of 10-10 thousand rupees on the absconding accused.
According to Mahakal police station in -charge Narendra Singh Parihar, a case was registered under sections 318 (4), 316 (2), 316 (5). After an investigation lasted for about 90 days, the police filed a 2360 -page crow charge sheet in the court on Friday. Police believe that the case is related to organized crime. Therefore, there is a possibility that after investigation, sections of organized crime can also be added to it.
ED can start investigation
Mahakal police station has sent complete information about the case to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The ED had sought information about the fund transaction in the Mahakal temple. According to SP Pradeep Sharma, the ED team may soon reach Ujjain for investigation. In fact, on 19 December 2024, Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh caught the devotees of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat in the Nandi Hall of Mahakal Temple. During investigation, it was found that the devotees of the temple had arrived at the temple’s priest Ajay Sharma, representative Rajesh Bhatt alias Patti Guru and the servant Kunal Sharma. Orders were given to register a case against the three. After this, there was a continuous revelations and the accused increased.
The police had registered two FIRs in the case. In the first FIR, priest representatives and servants were made accused. Later in the investigation, a case of Khayanat and fraud in Amanat was registered against the employees of the temple committee and security agency.
Links are connected and such open game
The facility of seating the devotees in the Nandi hall was given by the cleaning worker Vinod Chowkse and in -charge Rakesh Srivastava. On 20 December, security in -charge Rakesh Srivastava, cleaning inspector Vinod Chowkse, District Protocol employee Abhishek Bhargava, Darshan in -charge of the assembly pavilion Rajendra Sisodia, IT in -charge Rajkumar Singh, temple employee Ritesh Sharma and former Nandi hall in -charge Umesh Pandya were made accused. A case was also registered against Om Prakash Mali, employee of Outsourced Agency Crystal, Jitendra Singh Panwar, Karan Panwar, temple staff Ashish Sharma, former temple Samili member Deepak Mittal, YouTuber Pankaj Sharma and Vijendra.
Witnesses to give money
So far 10 accused have been arrested and sent to jail. Apart from this, 4 accused Ashish Sharma, Deepak Mittal, Pankaj Sharma and Vijendra are still absconding. Evidence of heavy transactions has been imposed in the charge sheet. The police have received transactions of more than 150 devotees from the mobile transactions of the accused. In these transactions, an amount of amount ranging from 2000 to 50,000 rupees has been revealed. However, the police has made only those who transferred more than Rs 20,000 to a witness in the charge sheet. Many devotees told the police that they gave it as donation under faith.
