Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Rajya Sabha on Friday (March 21). During the discussion on the functioning of the Ministry of Home Affairs, he said that the work has been done in the country in the last 10 years, which had not been done since independence. Meanwhile, the Home Minister promised to free the country from Naxalism by 31 March 2026. Recalling the old incident, he said that at one time he was not allowed to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk, but every year after the BJP government came, the tricolor is hoisted at Lal Chowk. Referring to the removal of Section 370 from Kashmir, he said that this decision was taken not for the vote bank, but for the security and unity of the country. The Modi government has done the work of making Kashmir an integral part of India.
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah said, ’21 members presented their views here. In a way, an attempt was made to cover the dimensions of several works of the Ministry of Home Affairs. First of all, I express gratitude to thousands of state police and central paramilitary forces who have made the highest sacrifices to strengthen the borders of the country as well as the borders. Amit Shah said that the previous government did not want to stop corruption. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi adopts a policy of zero tolerance against corruption.
Promise to end Naxalism
Home Minister Amit Shah promised in the Rajya Sabha that the country would be free from Naxalism on 31 March 2026. He said that Naxalism is not a political problem. It is necessary to eliminate it and within a year the Government of India will end it. He said that the government is developing in Naxal -affected areas, so that the people there can join the mainstream. Amit Shah said that the problem of Northeast is also on the verge of ending, violent incidents in the country have decreased by 70 percent.
What did you say on terrorism?
Regarding terrorism and Jammu and Kashmir, Amit Shah said, “The Modi government has a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism. Earlier there was no action after the terrorist attacks and people used to forget them. There were terrorist attacks in Uri and Pulwama but we carried out surgical strikes and air strikes against Pakistan within 10 days. ”He said that 40,000 government jobs were provided during 2019-24 in Jammu and Kashmir, 1.51 lakh self-employment was created, during which Kaushal clubs were also started. During the Modi government, the deaths due to terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir decreased by 70 percent. During this period, terrorist incidents also declined drastically. The number of terrorist incidents here came down from 7,217 to 2,242 (between 2014 and 2024) between 2004 and 2014. He said “On August 5, 2019, PM Modi canceled Article 370. By canceling Article 370, the Modi government fulfilled the ‘dream of’ one constitution, one flag ‘of the constitution. The country could have a single Prime Minister, a constitution and a flag in the country.”

Amit Shah said, “In a way, the Ministry of Home Affairs works under very difficult circumstances. The Constitution has given the responsibility of law and order to the states. The Border Security and Internal Security falls under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is a right decision. There is no need to make any changes. But when the responsibility of law and order is of the states, then there is now a situation that the situation is no longer limited to the limits of the state, they are not limited to the limits of the state, they are also interrupted and even the necklaces. Cyber crime, organized crime gang, hawala. All these crimes are not from the country.
