Digital arrest incident in Noida.

In many states of India, cases of cyber fraud and digital arrest are continuously increasing. Thugs are easily occupying the hard -earned money of people. The latest case of digital arrest has come from Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida) in Uttar Pradesh. Here the thugs have cheated a total of Rs 3.14 crore from an elderly couple. During the fraud, the elderly couple was digitally arrested for about 15 days.

What did the police tell?

The police have given information about this entire incident on Thursday. According to the police, the incident is from Noida Sector-75 and the victim’s name is Birj Kumar Sarkar who is a retired officer from a private bank. The elder has lodged a complaint about cheating at the cyber police station on Thursday and informed the police about the entire incident.

The thug described himself as an officer of TRAI

According to the police, the thug described himself as an officer of the Kolaba police station in Mumbai and threatened to arrest the elderly couple. The thug asked him to put money in the accounts stated to avoid arrest. In a complaint given to the police, the elderly said that on February 25, he received a call from a man who described himself as an officer of TRAI. The person sought information about the old number from the elderly. After receiving the number, the caller said that the wire of the concerned number is associated with Naresh Goyal Money Landring. The person also said that a case has been registered against the elderly at the Kolaba police station.

Get money transferred by threatening

According to the police, the thugs talked about the elderly with the alleged officer of the police station. The alleged officer asked the elderly to appear in the police station. On refusing, he talked about taking the process forward online. The thugs spoke to the elderly couple as IPS officers and CBI officers. The couple were threatened and the money was transferred to different accounts. (input language)
