The IPL is to begin on 22 March. That is, now there is only two days left in its debut. Meanwhile, the BCCI has shocked by taking some major decisions before the IPL. By bringing two new rules, the BCCI has done such a thing, which will definitely see a lot of difference on the decision of the match. The BCCI had been considering these rules for a long time, today when a meeting was held between the captains of all the teams, it was last stamped.
Saliva can now be used in IPL match
The BCCI has made it clear that now during the IPL match, bowlers will be able to use saliva on the ball. Prior to 2020, the bowlers used saliva on the ball, but after that the ICC banned it. This is the reason that as a precaution, the BCCI also implemented this Namay in the IPL. This rule is still going on in international cricket, but the BCCI has now removed the ban on it. That is, the bowlers will be able to apply saliva to brighten the ball, this will also give them a swing.
Two balls can be taken in the second innings of IPL match
Meanwhile, if we talk about the second major rule, they are even bigger. The team which will bowl later during the IPL match will get two balls. After 11 overs of the second innings, the team will be given a new ball from the 12th over. That is, a ball will run in the first 11 overs and the second ball will come from the 12th over. Actually, more matches of IPL are held in the evening. After the first innings, dew comes. This hurts the bowlers and the fielding team. Many times the toss itself decides which team will win the match. The BCCI has taken this decision to avoid this. The advantage of this will be that the importance of the toss will be reduced and the team winning the toss will not benefit much.
Umpire will decide whether another new ball is needed or not
A condition has also been placed in this second rule. It is said that the umpire will decide to change the ball during the match. The BCCI has said that the umpire will decide to change the ball, they will see whether the ball needs to be changed after 11 overs. It is obvious that whatever matches of IPL are of the day, there is no need to change the ball, these matches end by seven in the evening and till then it does not come. That is, this rule will need to be implemented in the night match itself.
