The 18th season of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL will start from March 22, in which the team of Mumbai Indians, who played under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, will play their first match against the Chennai Super Kings team on 23 March. The Mumbai Indians team will go to play on the field without their most important fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the first few matches of IPL 2025. Bumrah, who was out in the middle match due to the back injury during the last Test match played earlier this year, has not been declared completely fit yet, due to which he could not even play in the Champions Trophy. At the same time, Bumrah has intensified preparations for his return, in which he has reached NCA which is also a good news for the team of Mumbai Indians.

Will return to the field soon if declared fit

Jasprit Bumrah has reached NCA for the second time in the last few days, in which he had some pain in bowling at that time when he arrived. According to the report of Cricbuj, after this, Bumrah was advised to come a few days later. This time when Bumrah has now arrived, it is expected that he will pass the fitness test. If he does not have any kind of pain or any other complaint during the bowling, he will get the green signal to play in the 18th season of the IPL. However, it will definitely take about a week, so that Bumrah is sure to be out of the first 2 matches for Mumbai Indians.

Jayawardene also gave a statement regarding Bumrah’s return to Bumrah

In response to a question asked about Jaspreet Bumrah’s early matches from Mumbai Indians team head coach Mahela Jayawardene, he said that we will definitely miss him but we hope that he will soon come back fully fit. We are constantly keeping an eye on their fitness updates and we have to wait what we get next.
