PM kisan yojana: The PM Kisan Yojana was launched by the Narendra Modi government at the Center in February 2019. Under this scheme, all eligible farmers of the country are being given financial assistance of a total of Rs 6000 every year as 3 installments of Rs 2000. The central government started this scheme to empower farmers. However, the government is constantly monitoring the people taking advantage of this scheme in a wrong way. The central government is taking back the money given under the scheme from all the farmers, which are not eligible under this scheme.
Government has recovered Rs 416 crore
According to the information given by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the Central Government has been instructed to identify the states and union territories such as income tax payers, government company employees, state/central government, constitutional post holders and all such ineligible farmers have been instructed to recover the money given under the scheme. According to the information given by the ministry, an amount of Rs 416 crore has been recovered from ineligible farmers across the country so far. From 12th to 15th installment, land plantation, base-based payment and e-KYC have been made mandatory.
Which farmers will be charged money
The government has said that farmers whose economic condition is better will not be given the benefit of the scheme. Not all such farmers will be eligible under this scheme. The government has released a list of all such people. If these people have received any amount under the scheme, they will have to return all the money.
- Owner of institutional land
- People sitting in constitutional positions or sitting first
- Former and current minister, current Mayor of Municipal Corporations, former and current president of district panchayats
- Government officials or employees of central or state government ministries/offices/departments and its regional units
- Retired officers and employees from government jobs
- Regular employees of local bodies (except multi tasking staff/category IV/Group D employees)
- All pensioners, whose monthly pension is Rs 10,000 or more (except multi tasking staff/category IV/Group D employees)
- Taxpayers
- Professional like registered doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accounts and architects who are running their profession by practicing.
