Quetta (Pakistan): After the train hijack in Pakistan, there are frequent terrorist attacks. Pakistan is shocked by another new explosion. The explosion occurred on Sunday in a turbulent southwest Pakistan, where a roadside bomb exploded near a bus carrying security forces. It killed at least five officers and 10 others were injured.
Local police chief Zafar Zamanani said that the attack took place in Naushiki district of Balochistan. He said that another nearby bus near the explosion was also badly damaged. The dead and the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti condemned the attack. No one has taken immediate responsibility, but doubt is going to the banned Baloch Liberation Army, who had ambushed a train a few days ago, in which around 400 people aboard them hostage and killed 26 people.
Pakistan suspects Baloch
Pakistan is suspected to be the Baloch Army’s hand behind this blast. Balochistan, rich in oil and minerals, is the largest and lowest population province in Pakistan. Ethnic Baloch residents have long accused the central government of discrimination – Islamabad denies the allegation. The Baloch Liberation Army is demanding independence from the central government. 1 (AP)
