Manish Pandey presented the best batting sample against Deccan Chargers. He then scored 114 runs in just 73 balls, including 10 fours and four sixes. Virat Kohli scored an innings of 19 runs. Then both batsmen returned notout and RCB scored 170 runs after 20 overs. In this way Manish became the first batsman to score the first century in the IPL for India.
Had won the Under-19 World Cup title with Kohli
Earlier in 2008, India won the title of Under-19 World Cup under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Then Manish Pandey was also part of the U19 World Cup winning team and he also scored 20 runs against the South Under-19 team in the final. Manish has been the old partner of star batsman Kohli.
Last season was part of KKR
Manish Pandey scored a total of 3850 runs in 171 matches of IPL from 2008 to 2024. During this, a century and 22 half -centuries came out of his bat. Last season he was part of KKR’s team. Then he played only one match, scoring 41 runs.
