Thane: The murder case of a cab driver in Thane district of Maharashtra has been revealed. In this case, the police have come to know that the incident was carried out due to property dispute. Giving information about this on Wednesday, the officials said that the police arrested the deceased’s girlfriend and 4 others in connection with the murder. Let us know that 22 -year -old Akram Iqbaluddin Qureshi was attacked with iron rods and stone on 17 January near Tansa Vaitarana Water Pipeline in Mauj Pogaon of Bhiwandi area of Thane district of Maharashtra.
Cab driver’s body was found in the bush
Cab driver Qureshi’s body was found in a bush near the pipeline on 18 January. SSP Dadaso Edke said that after this Bhiwandi Taluka police had registered a case of murder against unknown persons. According to Edke, 2 teams of police were formed to investigate the case. He said that the investigating officers examined the footage of CCTV cameras installed near the crime scene, in which Qureshi was seen coming with a woman. According to EdK, after technical analysis of Qureshi’s mobile phone data, the police detained his girlfriend 20 -year -old Jassi Tiwari last month.
‘The accused used Jassi’
SSP said that during interrogation, Jassi Tiwari confessed his crime and also told the police the names and addresses of other accused, etc. According to Edke, one of the accused is 22 -year -old Mohammad Kaif Mohammad Rafiq, who was having a land dispute with Qureshi. He said that Rafiq and his associates used Jassi Tiwari to trap Qureshi. Edke said that on the day of the incident, Tiwari called Qureshi to Bhiwandi from his house in Mumbai, where he was taken to a car already fixed in a car.
‘Accused arrested from Pratapgarh in UP’
Police said that 4 other people were already hooing at the fixed place, who had iron rods and stones. All of them allegedly attacked the victim, causing her painful death. According to the police, Rafiq and 3 other accused, 35 -year -old Isamuddin Riyazuddin Qureshi, 32 -year -old Salman Mohammad Shafiq Khan and 28 -year -old Suhail Ahmed Qureshi were arrested on Monday from Haiderpur in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.
