Student’s dreadful ragging (symbolic photo) in Kerala
Ragging cases in the country are not taking the name of stopping. These cases are coming out on the day they come. In Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, a case of winning of a government college student has come to light. In Thiruvananthapuram, a government college student has accused the seniors and also claimed that he brutally beaten him. The case is of a government nursing college in Kottayam. Due to this, there is widespread public outrage in Kerala. According to the victim student, he had complained to the police and college administration on the day of the incident. The victim is a student of first year biotechnology. The victim student said that his seniors assaulted him and harassed him on 11 February. The victim also reported that he was also threatened.
Beaten with belts and sticks
The victim student said that the incident happened when my friend and my friend Abhishek were passing through the campus. Then a group of senior students stopped us and started beating me. My friend somehow escaped from there and informed the Principal about it. The victim also alleged that he was beaten with belts and sticks.
‘Forced to complain against friend’
The victim student further explained that after this I was taken to the unit room and closed there. My shirt was removed and they made me sit on my knees. When I asked for water to drink, one of them spit in half a glass of water and gave me. At the same time, I was also threatened that if I told anyone about this incident, then serious consequences would have to be suffered. The student said that the accused students also forced him to file a complaint against his friend.
Case filed
According to an official of the Kazhakuttum police station, the police have registered a case in connection with the incident on 11 February under various sections of the Code of Justice of India (BNS). In this regard, the Principal gave a report on Monday, in which the issues mentioned in the student’s complaint were confirmed to be correct. The police officer told that as soon as we received the report, we also added ragging sections in the case. He said that a report regarding the incident will soon be submitted to the court and action will be taken.
