In a bid to make the verification process easier for non Resident Indian (NRI) Punjabis, The Government of
Punjab has operated e-sanad portal in September, 2024 all over Punjab In this connection, 6481 applications have been received
For countersigning on this portal from 1 January 2025 to Till Date.
Minister of Administrar Reforms and NRI Affairs Department, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal Said that 200 Applications of Nris are synt to the ministry of external affairs, Government of India. It becomes very easy to track and find the status of applications through this portal, Resulting in Reducing the wastage of precious time of nris.
He further informed that e-sanad portal facilitate nri punjabis to obtain various documents , Educational Qualification Certificate, Driving License, Death Certificate, Marriage/Divorce Certificate, Decree, adoption deed, affidavit, fingerprint and other certifications, etc.
