Crowd gathered in Prayagraj

There is still a huge crowd in Prayagraj over Mahakumbh, in view of the crowd, Prayagraj Sangam railway station has now been closed till 28 February. It is being said that if the condition of the crowd remains similar, then the date of keeping the Prayagraj Sangam station closed can be extended. The DM has also written a letter to the Divisional Railway Manager in this subject. The letter states that a large number of devotees/bathing people are coming to Mahakumbh, in such a situation, it is necessary to stop the movement of railway passengers from Daraganj from 17 February to 28 February 2025 for their easy, safe and well -organized traffic.

Regarding this, Prayagraj DM Ravindra Kumar Mandar has requested the Divisional Railway Manager that Daraganj i.e. Prayagraj Sangam railway station should be kept closed for the movement of passengers on the above date. And this is the closest railway station in the fair area. At the same time, RPF and GRP personnel posted at the station have also been asked to stay in alert mode in view of the crowd.

Actually, a large number of devotees are reaching Mahakumbh before Mahashivaratri. In such a situation, long queues of vehicles are seen inside and outside the city in Prayagraj. Due to the holiday on Sunday, there was a long jam in Prayagraj and its surrounding areas, but the traffic system is currently running smoothly. The DGP of UP said that traffic is running smoothly in the path around Prayagraj to come to Mahakumbh.

Around 8 am on Sunday morning, there was a traffic jam on two routes of Prayagraj city- Leprosi Tiraha and Phaphamau Tirahe.

The traffic on the Mirzapur-Prayagraj highway is clear.

Traffic is also clear on the routes coming and going from Rewa, Jaunpur, Lucknow, Varanasi and Kaushambi.

CM Yogi appealed to people

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to the devotees coming to Mahakumbh not to park their vehicles on the streets, use the prescribed parking areas. The CM urged the devotees to follow the cleanliness protocol and encourage others to do so as to ensure spiritually rich and clean experiences for all participants.
