Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh on Monday Asked The Department of Food & Civil Supplies to Further Expedite The Process of Liquidation/Movement of the FOOOOD Grain Stocks from the state so that no problem of storage es in the coming seasons and procurement of grains Takes place in a smooth and hassle free manner.
Chairing a High Level Meeting of the Food and Civil Supplies Department Here at his official Residence, The Chief Minister Said That Due To Persistent Shortage of Storage Spa During the Previous SEASON S from Mandis was adversally affected. He said that the state government is alredy in process of creating new covered Godowns to store 60 lakh metric ton of grains in the state in the sight in the coming more.
He said that the government of India is being requested to undertake maximum movement of wheat and rice from the state, so that selfiest storage space is available for RCES Suing RMS 2025-26.
