IPL 2025 full schedule: The Indian Premier League is the most popular T20 league in the world. Not only India but cricket fans around the world eagerly wait for the Indian Premier League (IPL). The upcoming season of IPL will begin from next month. Earlier, there has been a big disclosure about IPL 2025. Actually, the schedule of IPL 2025 has been announced.
The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on March 22 with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). After this, two matches will be played on the second day i.e. 23 March. The first match on 23 March will be played between SRH and RR. After this, the second match will be played between Chennai and Mumbai from 7:30 pm. CSK and Chennai will clash 2 times in the league stage this season. At the same time, just one league match between RCB and Mumbai will be played on 7 April. The match will be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The final match of IPL 2025 will be played on 25 May. Both the inauguration and final matches will be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. This Bir League will be held on 13 venue. A total of 74 matches will be played in IPL 2025 within 65 days. The league matches in IPL 2025 will be played from 22 March to 18 May. This will be followed by playoff matches on 20, 21, 23 and 25 May.
First final in 10 years
Kolkata will also host qualifier-2 on May 23, in addition to the final on 25 May. This will be the first final in Kolkata in a decade. Earlier, Eden Gardens had hosted the title matches of 2013 and 2015. The other two playoffs – qualifiers on 20 May and Eliminator on May 1 and 21 will be played in Hyderabad, the 2024 runner -up Sunrisers Sunrisers Hyderabad’s home ground.
The captain of 2 teams is yet to be announced
Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore recently announced their captains. Rishabh Pant, signed for Rs 27 crore, will lead Super Giants, while Shreyas Iyer will command the Kings for Rs 26.75 crore. RCB declared Rajat Patidar its new captain. Only two teams- Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders have not yet announced their captain for IPL 2025.
