Indian hockey team vs Spain

In the FIH Pro League, India defeated Spain 2–0 in the return phase match on Sunday. India’s players performed amazing in this match. The Spain team could not stand ahead of him and lost the match. However, on Sunday, the Indian team did not give Spain a chance, showing a very aggressive game. Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh was rested in this match. In the first phase, India was defeated 3–1 by Spain on Saturday.

Mandeep Singh and Dilpreet Singh scored goals

For India, Mandeep Singh scored the 32nd and Dilpreet Singh scored a field goal in the 39th minute to score three points to India. Now India will face Germany on Tuesday. The Indian team won the ball control and made several opportunities in the first two quarters, although the account could not be opened. In the fifth minute, Mandeep got a golden opportunity to score but Spain goalkeeper Rafael Revilla defended. A few moments before the first quarter, India got a continuous penalty corner but Jugraj Singh could not score goals.

No team could score a goal in the first half

Indian goalkeeper Krishan Bahadur Pathak did not allow Spain a penalty corner to be converted into a goal in the 14th minute. In the first two quarters, India tried hard to score goals but could not distinguish the Spanish defense. No team could score a goal in the first half. After the break, India got a penalty corner in the second minute but Jugraj’s shot was then rescued by Spain goalkeeper Revilla. Mandeep, however, closely put the ball under the goal near Dilpreet. Seven minutes later, Dilpreet scored his 32nd goal for India, which was Mandeep and Gurjant Singh.

Indian women’s hockey team lost

On the other side, the Indian women’s hockey team lost 1-2 in the shootout to England in the FIH Pro League match on Sunday while the score was 2–2 by the scheduled time. Paizi Gilot (40th minute) and Tessa Howard (56th) scored goals on the penalty corner within the scheduled time for England. Navneet Kaur (53rd) and Rutuja Dadosa Pisal (57th) scored goals for India. In the shootout, Navneet could score a goal for India while captain Salima Ttete, Sunelitha Toppo and Lalremsiami failed.
