Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana performed at the opening night of the Women’s Premier League 2025 in Vadodara last day. His brilliant performance forced the entire stadium to swing. He dedicated Maa Tujhe Salaam to the spirit of India and women power. Videos of his performance have appeared on social media and showed the audience shouting him. Ayushmann Khurrana kept the tricolor closer to his heart and rushed to AR Rahman’s famous song ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ and raised a spirit of patriotism among the audience.

Ayushmann has also shared a video on Instagram. In which he told about his love for cricket. ‘I like cricket since childhood. I keep an eye on everything from Ranji to women’s cricket. I was part of the school team. Under-16 I used to be a leg-spinner and middle-order batsman. In the Under 14, I used to be a wicketkeeper batsman and in Under 19 I became a batsman. He further said that performing in WPL is a pleasant feeling. ‘I have also hosted IPL as an anchor on the field. And now a guest artist in the Women’s Premier League is coming as a celebrity artist, it is very satisfactory. My journey has been beautiful. There are two big institutions in our country- both cricket and cinema and now it is the support of both. So it is beautiful. ‘
Message given to women empowerment
Ayushmann further said, ‘Most of my films have been about empowerment and they are very progressive. This is probably the expansion of that. It is surprising that I am currently part of the Women’s Premier League. This is not just a moment, it is a movement. This gives a platform not only to our country but players around the world. ‘ Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 is scheduled to take place from 14 February to 15 March 2025. This third edition of the tournament will include five teams competing in four cities of India: Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Mumbai. The Grand Finale of WPL 2025 will be held on 15 March at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
