Joint The nation’s climate chief Simon Steel called India a ‘solar superpower’. He has urged India to develop an ambitious climate scheme, which is spread throughout the economy. He has said that taking advantage of the bounce in the Global Clean Energy sector will give momentum to India’s economic progress. Steel, who came to India to participate in a program, appreciated India’s efforts to reduce climate change and said that while some governments only talk, ‘India works’. He said, “India is already a solar superpower, one of the only four countries to install more than 100 GW of solar energy. Energy access is increasing with providing electricity in villages across the country by 2018. ”
Now the time to take next step
Steel said, “Now is the time to take the next step, which will give more benefits to 1.4 billion people and economy of India. India is already moving strongly in this direction, but adopting the global clean energy boom even more will promote India’s economic growth. ” Steel said that India has an opportunity that only a few countries have. This is to realize the ambitious plans to deploy hundreds of gigawatts of renewable energy capacity, lead a new wave of green industrialization, developing, expanding and exporting important technologies. ‘
India has an opportunity
He said that the fifth largest economy in the world is in good condition to take advantage of climate schemes. The United Nations Climate head said that India leaders have a rare opportunity to deepen industrial strategies in the overall economy, which would make a rapidly developing South Asian nation a clean energy and a major power in the industry.
