New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal has not been able to recover from the shock of the party and his own crushing defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections that now his difficulties in the case of ‘Sheeshamahal’ may increase. The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has directed the Public Works Department of the Delhi Government to conduct a detailed merger of assets for the expansion of 6, Flagstaff Road bungalow and to conduct a detailed investigation into the expenditure incurred on its interiors. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vijendra Gupta said this on Saturday.

The BJP has termed this bungalow as “Sheeshamahal” due to alleged corruption. In this, Arvind Kejriwal lived as the Chief Minister of Delhi from 2015 till the first week of October last year. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or its convenor Kejriwal did not respond to the matter immediately.

Vijendra Gupta said that the Central Vigilance Commission took cognizance of his two prior complaints and sought a factual report from the Public Works Department, on the basis of which a detailed investigation has now been directed. The newly elected BJP MLA from Rohini, in his first complaint to the CVC, alleged that Kejriwal violated the building rules for building a grand “palace” on 40,000 square yards (eight acres) land.

Vijendra Gupta alleged that government properties including plots 45 and 47 (there were residences of senior officials and judges in the first type-V flat) and two bungalows (8-B, Flag Staff Road) to demolish government properties on Rajpur Road. Was done and merged into the new residence.

He said that during this time the criteria were violated and proper approval was not taken. In his second complaint, Gupta accused 6, repairing the bungalow at Flag Staff Road and “spending more than necessary” on internal decoration. He also accused the bungalow of spending crores of rupees on luxurious facilities and “large -scale financial irregularities”.
