The World Doping Anti-Doping Agency has banned a three-month ban on two positive cases of dope test at the number-1 ranked star player Yanik Sinner in tennis. He accepted his mistake and for this reason he will have to bear a ban of only 3 months. Sinner has performed well in tennis for some time and has made a distinct identity. Now after the ban, he will be seen playing at the French Open Grand Slam. The French Open will start from 25 May.

Excerpts of restricted substances were found in the body

Wada challenged the decision of the International Tennis Integrity Agency for not banning the Yanik Sinner last year. Wada wanted to ban him at least one year last year. In March last year, parts of banned anabolic steroids were found in the body of Sinner. On this, he had said that during a massage from a trainer, this part came into his body because he used this substance after his finger cut. The Italian player, which won the Australian Open in January, will be able to play the next Grand Slam.

Sinner made a mistake

Yanik Sinner said in a statement that the matter was hanging for a year and the process is so long that the decision would come only at the end of the year. I have always accepted that I am responsible for my team and I feel that the strict rules of Wada are necessary for the safety of the game. This is the reason why I accepted the offer of a three -month ban Wada to settle the case. Wada appealed against the ITIA’s decision at the Sports Tribunal at Lausane which has now been withdrawn.

3 Grand Slam has won

The 23 -year -old tennis player Yanik Sinner of Italy has so far won three Grand Slam, including two Australian Open (2024, 2025) and the US Open 2024. Sinner defeated Germany’s Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 in the Australian Open 2025 final.
