Kapil Dev and Jaspreet Bumrah
The Indian team’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was eliminated from the Champions Trophy 2025 due to injury. Whereas earlier he got a place in the main team. Earlier, Mohammed Shami had been out of the team for a long time due to injury. He returned to the T20 series against England. The National Cricket Academy has become the center of rehabilitation of such players these days, where the players are spending more time in recovery. The World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev, expressing concern over the increasing incidence of Indian cricketers, explained the reason for the busy calendar, in which players play for about ten months a year.
Kapil Dev, who gave India the title of ODI World Cup 1983, said in an event that I am worried that he is playing ten months a year. Asked whether Jaspreet Bumrah will miss in the Champions Trophy. On this, he said why to talk about him which is not in the team. This is the game of the team and the team has to win, not individuals. It is not badminton, tennis or golf. We are participating in the team game in the Champions Trophy. If we play as a team, we will definitely win.
Kapil wishes the Indian team
Kapil Dev said that you never want your main players to be injured but if it happens then you cannot do anything. Best wishes to the Indian team. When you see the youth, their confidence is incredible. When we were of this age, we were not so confident.
