Booking of Mahindra & Mahindra’s new electric car- XEV 9E and BE 6 started on Friday. The special thing is that cars got tremendous support on the very first day of booking. A total of 30,179 units of booking have been received on 14 February. According to PTI news, the Mumbai-based auto chief claimed that the booking number is equal to Rs 8,472 crore (at an ex-showroom price). The company has started booking for the entire lineup of XEV 9E and BE 6 on Friday.

According to the news, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra said in a post on X that Mahindra Electric Origin SUV has set a new record in EV category with 30,179 booking on the first day, whose booking price is Rs 8,472 crore (ex-showroom price On). The company said that the difference between XEV 9E and BE 6 is 56 percent and 44 percent respectively. It said that the top-end pack three with 79 KWH battery won 73 percent of the total booking of both the brands.
Prices of both cars
The price of both Mahindra cars is between Rs 18.9 lakh to Rs 30.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Last year, the sale of electric passenger vehicles in India was around 1 lakh units. Mahindra BE 6 is available in five variants – pack one, pack one abs, pack two, pack three selection and pack three, while XEV9E is in four variants – pack one, pack to, pack three selection and pack three. Both electric cars come with two battery pack options- one 59 kwh and the other 79 kwh.
Sales increased by 16 percent in January
The total sales of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited rose 16 percent to 85,432 units in January last. Sales of passenger vehicles increased by 18 percent to 50,659 units against 43,068 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles were 23,917 units. Vijay Nakra, president of the vehicle section of M&M Limited, said that we started the new year by selling 50,659 SUVs, which is an 18 percent increase and a total of 85,432 vehicles, which is a 16 percent increase.
