Champions trophy 2025: The Indian team is in the hands of Rohit Sharma for the Champions Trophy 2025. Champions Trophy final match will be held on 9 March
The Indian team is to play Mahamukabala on 23 February against arch -rivals Pakistan after Bangladesh. After this, New Zealand, who had wounded in several ICC tournaments, is to be overcome on March 2. The final of the Champions Trophy 2025 will be played on 9 March. Therefore, this tour is only less than three weeks in which BCCI will not allow the players to go along. Under the new policy, the family can go for a maximum of two weeks with the players on 45 days or longer tour.
Family can go together only when there is a tour of more than 45 days
A source of the board told PTI that if something changes, the matter is different but still his family is not going with the players. A senior player asked about it but he was told that the new policy would be followed. The BCCI policy states that the player’s wife and children (under 18 years of age) can stay together for a maximum of two weeks if they stay out of India for 45 days or more time on a foreign tour. When separated from this policy, they will have to get permission from coach, captain and GM operations. The BCCI will not bear the expenses for the period other than this.
Decision was taken after defeat to Australia
The Indian team lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 1-3 against Australia. Indian bowlers and batsmen performed very poorly on the tour of Australia. This policy was adopted after the Indian team lost.
