A young woman committed self -immolation in Bulandshahr.
Bulandshahr: A heartbreaking news is coming out from Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the information given by the police, a 22 -year -old girl from a village in Bibinagar police station area of the district committed suicide by setting herself on fire. The woman was scheduled to get married on March 3 but was canceled after blackmailing by a man after which she embraced death. Purnima Singh, the police officer of Secunderabad, said, “The suicide note of the victim has shown that she was forced to commit suicide due to alleged harassment by a man named Rakesh Sharma.”
‘Rakesh recovered more than Rs 2 lakh from the girl’
CO Purnima Singh said that in the suicide note, the woman has said that she is giving her life under the pressure of a person named Rakesh Sharma. In the suicide note, the woman wrote that Rakesh forced her and is blackmailing her by making her pornographic photos and videos. Police said that the woman has also made serious allegations against Rakesh’s parents. It is written in the suicide note that Rakesh recovered more than 2 lakh rupees from the woman and threatened that if she refused to meet her, she would make her public and videos public.
‘Love affair between the victim and the accused revealed’
The police officer said, “The investigation revealed the love affair between the victim and neighbor Rakesh Sharma. The recovered suicide note explained the harassment by Rakesh and his parents, due to which his marriage was finally canceled on March 3. Based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s family, a case has been registered under the relevant sections and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. Singh said that the police have arrested Rakesh Sharma’s mother and efforts are on to arrest her. (Language)
