Akhilesh Yadav in Lok Sabha
Samajwadi Party (SP) President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav raised many serious questions while discussing the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. He also targeted the ‘double engine’ government of Uttar Pradesh. He said that there were flaws in the arrangements of Prayagraj Mahakumbh, due to which people who believe in Sanatan Dharma have suffered deeply. Akhilesh Yadav also alleged that the state government failed to handle the traffic system properly, due to which people in Prayagraj had to get stuck in a 300 km long jam.
Akhilesh Yadav said, “People were getting upset in Prayagraj and no facility was being provided in the yatra. This picture is sad and this has hurt those who believe in Sanatan Dharma.” He also accused of not giving a stampede and not giving the correct information during Mahakumbh. Yadav raised the question, “Should there be a picture where you are not able to handle traffic properly?”
Territory on Union Budget
The SP president also criticized the Union Budget. He said that there is no roadmap to make India a developed nation in this budget. He also alleged that no concrete results of the budgets presented in the last 10 years came out and, referring to the problems of Indian migrants, “Whether these budgets were made so that the world would see that Indian people in their hands Handcuffs and fetters were tied and sent back? ” Akhilesh also took a sarcasm citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to America, “The last time Modi ji took a diamond, this time take the chain of gold and bring some more people back.”
‘Double engine’ government
Akhilesh Yadav accused Uttar Pradesh’s ‘double engine’ government that this government is doing ‘double blunder’. He cited the promise of doubling the income of farmers, saying that the government has no roadmap to fulfill this promise. Yadav said that nothing was done about the legal guarantee of the minimum support price (MSP) and the government ignored Swaminathan’s advice on the issue. He also said that farmers’ loans should be waived and GST should be removed on farming products.
Remember of demonetisation
The SP MP also expressed concern about India’s economy. He said that India’s economy may have reached third place in the world, but there are no employment opportunities in the country. He said, “A child was born in the lines in front of the banks at the time of demonetisation, which was named ‘Treasurer’. Now he has grown up and I would ask the government to adopt this treasurer. “
Akhilesh Yadav also said that no concrete steps were taken for the upliftment of backward, Dalit and minority communities in the budget. He raised the question that when 80 crore people in the country have to pay free ration, is this the true picture of India’s development? He said, “This government gave Bharat Ratna to MS Swaminathan, but his words were not implemented. Farmers do not see their rights.”
Investment claims in Uttar Pradesh
He also criticized the claims of investment made in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the claims of investment made by the state government are limited to advertisements, while no concrete effect is visible at the ground level. Yadav finally said, “This budget is four engines, but one engine after another deteriorated, so four engines have been installed.”
