High level meeting held on Jammu and Kashmir
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting in New Delhi to review the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir. In this meeting, various issues related to terrorism, security and border security were discussed in Jammu and Kashmir. Home Minister Amit Shah made it clear in this meeting that the Modi government is fully committed to create terrorism-free Jammu and Kashmir and steps are being taken in this direction.
The Home Minister said that monitoring terrorism, narco-attitude and terror-funding is the top priority of the government. He also said that the government is committed to ending the ecosystem of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and will be ensured that peace and security in the state remains.
Instructions to BSF
Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave special instructions to the Border Security Force (BSF) to further strengthen the border security grid. He also directed to ensure “zero infiltration” in Jammu and Kashmir using high technical equipment. Shah said that it is necessary to thwart any kind of infiltration attempts on the border, so that the terrorists can be prevented from entering the state.
Zero Tater Plan
The Home Minister instructed to further strengthen the ‘Zero Terror Plan’ to eliminate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The main objective of this scheme is to completely eliminate terrorist activities in the state. Under this, strict action will be taken against the terrorists by the security forces. Also, awareness of terrorism will be increased in the society.
Instructions to all security agencies
In this meeting, Amit Shah instructed all security agencies to be vigilant and work unitedly. He also said that coordination should be maintained between all agencies, so that any activity of the terrorists can be stopped in time and the security situation can be improved.
