Jasprit bumrah: Champions Trophy 2025 is now getting closer. The first match of this ICC tournament will be played on 19 February. The squad of all 8 teams participating in it has been announced. However, the ICC had already made it clear that by February 12, if a team wants to make changes in their squad. Now that date is also close. Meanwhile, the picture about the Indian team’s star fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah is not yet clear. It is believed that the final decision will be taken on this today i.e. on 11 February till late evening.

Team India will play their first match in the Champions Trophy on 20 February

The Indian team will play their first match in the Champions Trophy on 20 February. Earlier on February 12, he is to play the last ODI against England. Now the biggest question is about Jaspreet Bumrah, who was injured during the Test series against Australia. There is a lot of effort to fit them. But if Jaspreet does not play Bumrah, then his replacement will have to be announced. The squad which has been announced for the Champions Trophy by the BCCI includes Jaspreet Bumrah besides Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh.

Harshit Rana can get a chance

If Jasprit Bumrah remains unfit, then Harshit Rana can be the most strong contender for the team to be involved in the team. Who has recently made his one -day debut in the ODI series against England. He created a sensation with three wickets in his debut match itself. The special thing is that he has taken three wickets in Test, T20 International and ODI i.e. all three debuts. He has become the first bowler of India to do so. But he has only one success in the second match. In such a situation, his name will be considered or not, it is difficult to say right now. But they are leading in the race.

Doors can also open for Mohammad Siraj

Apart from Harshit Rana, another name which can be considered by the BCCI is Mohammad Siraj. Although he has neither been included in the team for the ODI series against England nor is he in the Champions Trophy, but in Siraj’s favor, it can be said that he has experience. Now Siraj, who played 44 ODIs for India, has taken 71 wickets. Everyone was surprised when his name did not come for the Champions Trophy. But now Bumrah is absent, then he will have a chance to return. At the moment, the same effort will be to play Bumrah, but it will have to be seen what the BCCI finally decides.
