Ranji Trophy 2024-25 Semifinal: India’s prestigious home tournament Ranji Trophy 2024-25 has reached its last phase. 3 out of 4 teams have been decided for the semi -final round and the last team’s decision will be decided by 12 February. The team of Mumbai, Vidarbha and Gujarat won their quarter-finals and secured the semi-finals tickets. Defending champion Mumbai defeated Haryana by 152 runs at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on the basis of captain Ajinkya Rahane and made it to the semi -finals. At the same time, Gujarat defeated Saurashtra by 98 runs in Rajkot and confirmed its place in Atim 4. Vidarbha defeated Tamil Nadu by 198 runs in the quarter -final match played in Nagpur and booked his place in the semi -finals.
299 runs away from Kerala victory
The fourth semi -final team will be decided by tomorrow. A quarter-final match is being played between Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala in Pune. Tomorrow is the last day of this match. Kerala needs 299 runs to win. The Kerala team has put 2 wickets on the scoreboard by losing 2 wickets till the end of the fourth day play. Jammas and Kashmir’s victory in this match is more likely because it will be very difficult for Kerala to score 299 runs on the last day. Sachin Baby 19 and Akshay Chandran are unbeaten on 32 runs.
Both semi-finals of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 will be played from 17 to 21 February. The first semi-final will be against the winners of the match being played between Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala. At the same time, in the second semi -final match, there will be between Vidarbha and 42 -time champion Mumbai. However, the venue of both semi -finals has not been revealed so far. The final match of the Ranji Trophy will be played from 26 February to 2 March. The final match venue has not been officially announced so far.
