Sl vs aus: Now only a few days are left for the launch of the Champions Trophy and all the teams are busy in their respective preparations. Meanwhile, the team has been announced for ODIs. Sri Lanka has announced its team for the 2 ODI series against Australia. Sri Lanka has elected a 16 -member team for this series in which Charith Asanka has been made the captain. Apart from this, batsmen like Pathum Nisanka, Kusal Mendis and Inishaka Fernando have also got a place. At the same time, players like Lahiru Kumara, Mohammad Shiraz and Ishaan Malinga have been included in the bowling.
The only ODI match was to be played between Australia and Sri Lanka, but a one -day match was further increased in view of the preparations for the Champions Trophy. Now the 2 -match ODI series will be played, which will begin at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo from 12 February. The second ODI match will be played on 14 February. The match will also be held at R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo. Recently a 2 -match Test series was played between Sri Lanka and Australia. In this series, Australia made Sri Lanka a 2–0 clean sweep. Australia has already reached the World Test Championship i.e. WTC final, where it will face South Africa team.
