Sports Desk, Indore. India’s star batsman Virat Kohli has supported the initiative of organ donation during the third ODI against England on February 12 in Ahmedabad. Under this initiative, Kohli has appealed to the fans to understand the importance of organ donation and participate in it.
ICC initiative attracts attention to the importance of organ donation
- The International Cricket Council (ICC) has also launched ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’ initiative to promote organ donation. The objective of this initiative is to motivate cricket fans to donate organ, as this can be a decision that can save the lives of millions of people.
- ICC chairman Jai Shah also appealed to the fans to support the initiative. He said that we are starting ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’ awareness campaign in Ahmedabad between India and England on 12 February.

Kohli is struggling to return to form
- Kohli did not participate in the first match in Nagpur due to his right knee injury, but he returned to Cuttack in the second match in place of Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, this match was not memorable for Kohli in Cuttack, as he was dismissed by Adil Rashid by scoring just 5 runs.
