On Sunday, the routes coming from the four directions of Prayagraj were jammed for several hours on Sunday due to the arrival of devotees in the Mahakumbh Mela on the general days. At the same time, Prayagraj Sangam railway station was closed due to overcrowding outside the station.

A devotee from Rae Bareli said that before Phaphamau on the Lucknow-Prayagraj highway, he was stuck in a jam for five hours and then somehow parked a vehicle in Bella Cachar and left for Sangam Ghat on foot.
