Budget 2025: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the country’s budget on 1 February 2025. Nirmala Sitharaman made many big and important announcements in this budget presented for FY 2025-26. The government gave a big relief to the middle class and made the annual income of Rs 12 lakh completely tax free. However, nothing happened as expected about a government scheme related to women. Yes, we are talking about the Women’s Honor Savings Certificate i.e. MSSC. Before the budget was presented, it was expected that the government would increase the deadline of the MSSC scheme, but nothing like this happened.
Government scheme will be closed on March 31, 2025
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech did not propose to increase the deadline of the MSSC scheme. This directly means that this scheme will end on March 31, 2025 and new investment will not be made in this scheme from April 1, 2025. In such a situation, millions of women of the country have left only till 31 March to avail this scheme. The scheme will not be invested in this scheme from 31 March.
