People accidentally killed their own partner during hunting in the forest.
Palghar: A shocking case has come to light from Palghar district of Maharashtra. In the forest of Palghar, some villagers mistakenly shot a partner to a wild boar. Police said on Wednesday that the person died after being shot, while another person was injured in the incident. According to the police, the person who was injured in the incident on the night of 28 January also died during treatment. Police has detained 6 people in this case.
‘Villagers hidden the dead body’
SDPO Abhijeet Dhashivkar of Palghar said that some villagers had gone to the Borusheti forests located in the district for hunting wild boars. He said, ‘Some villagers separated from their colleagues during the attempt to hunt. After some time, one of the villages separated his own companions as a wild boar, in which 2 villagers were injured. One of them died on the spot, while the other was seriously injured. SDPO said that the villagers, who were afraid of the accident, hid the dead body of the deceased in the bushes instead of informing the police about the incident.
‘FIR is being registered against the accused’
The officer said, ‘On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and detained 6 villagers on suspicion of joining the crime. The officials recovered the dead body of the deceased after a broad search on Wednesday and sent it for postmortem to find out the exact cause of death. Dhashivkar said that the alleged villagers allegedly died during treatment and were cremated without informing the officials. The official said that the police is investigating the case and an FIR is being registered against the accused.
