Gadag: A heartbreaking news is coming out from Gadag district of Karnataka. According to reports, a farmer has given his life to failing to repay the loan. It is being told that the farmer had a total loan of Rs 3.2 lakh. 46 -year -old farmer Irappa Kuradagi ended his life by hanging from the noose hanging in a tree in his own field. Erappa was not in a position to repay the debt and hence was very upset.
Police is investigating the case of suicide of farmer
According to the information received so far, Erappa committed suicide by hanging himself from a hanging noose in a tree in his field. Irappa had taken crop loan of Rs 1.2 lakh from KVG Bank and additional loan of Rs 2 lakh from various cooperative societies. In this way, the farmer had a total loan of Rs 3.2 lakh, which he was unable to repay. This is the reason why he thought it better to give more life than trying to repay the loan. The police have registered the case of Erappa’s suicide and started investigation.
