New Delhi: A day before the voting of the Delhi Assembly elections, the Election Commission retaliated on the allegations of AAP and said that this is a strategy to discredit. Significantly, the AAP had made many allegations against the Election Commission before voting.

What did the Election Commission say?

In a post on X, the Election Commission said that it had noted such efforts, but has opted to absorb such allegations with restraint, intelligence, apathy. The Election Commission said that it would not be affected by such allegations. It also states that the issues raised before the Delhi elections were investigated and more than 1.5 lakh officials took action while working under the legal structure and strong procedure to ensure fair elections.

This post of the Election Commission came after the comments of Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal about its freedom. In fact, the AAP leaders had accused the Election Commission of openly ignoring the incidents of openly violating the model code of conduct by the family of BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri.

Atishi had made allegations

In several posts on X on Monday, CM Atishi said that the family members of the BJP leader were seen walking in the Kalkaji region of Delhi (which is his constituency) in violation of the Adarsh ​​Samhita. He also said that he had lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police, but instead he was accused.

He had said, ‘The Election Commission is incredible. Members of Ramesh Bidhuri’s family are openly violating the model code of conduct and no action is being taken. I complained to the police and the Election Commission, (but instead) he filed a case against me.
