Champions Trophy 2025
The Indian phase of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 recently concluded in Mumbai and Bangalore, in which the tournament trophy visited major sites in both cities. The tournament is going to start from February 19 and all its matches will be played in Pakistan and Dubai, while the final will be held on 9 March. A total of eight teams will participate in this tournament, and the trophy has visited these eight countries during their visit. At the end of the Indian phase, the trophy will reach Pakistan for the final stop of its journey.
Fans saw the trophy
The trophy in Mumbai visited the city’s major sites like Wankhede Stadium, Shivaji Park, Gateway of India, Carter Road, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Bandstand. The special thing was that the trophy was also displayed during a ceremony organized on the occasion of completion of 50 years of Wankhede Stadium. It was a special event in the Wankhede Stadium, which is a historical site for Mumbai cricket lovers, in which the enthusiasm of the audience regarding the trophy was worth seeing.
Subsequently, the trophy in Bengaluru visited several major sites, including Nexus Santiniketan Mall, Bangalore Palace, Freedom Park, KR Market, Town Hall, St. Mary Basilica, M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Church Street and Vidyarthi Bhavan. A crowd of local spectators gathered at these places to see the trophy, and the audience expressed its enthusiasm about it. The ICC issued a statement on the occasion saying that the trophy’s visit is a unique initiative all over the world, which gives cricket fans a chance to create an exciting atmosphere for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
Now Pakistan will go to trophy
With the conclusion of the Indian phase, the trophy will now go on its last visit to Pakistan, from where it will reach the last place before the start of the tournament. This visit to the ICC Champions Trophy was not only an important part of the promotion of the tournament. In the tournament, Team India will play against Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand. All these matches of Team India will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
