Significantly, a petition was filed in the Delhi High Court demanding stopping the trailer of this film based on the riots of Delhi. It said that this film is a victim of political temptation.

The court was told by the petitioner that the film will be released only after getting a certificate from the censor board. After hearing both sides, the High Court canceled the petition.

Congress filed a petition against the film

The Congress had filed a petition against the film. The film was scheduled to release just three days before the Delhi assembly elections on 5 February. The Congress called the film a divisive and a BJP attempt to polarize voters.

At the same time, director Malaviya says that this film is to highlight the dirt spread within the society.

After protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the film came into controversy over the riots in North-East Delhi when Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi held a press conference on 26 January and urged the Election Commission to stop its release. .
