New Delhi: The Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan campus will be opened to the general public from Sunday. This park will be open to the general public till 30 March. Rashtrapati Bhavan gave this information on Saturday. A statement said that people may come to visit the garden between Tuesday to Sunday 6 am to 6 pm on Sunday to Sunday.
Garden will remain closed on Monday
Amrit garden will remain closed on Monday due to maintenance. The park was previously known as the Mughal Garden but was later renamed Amrit Udyan. President Draupadi Murmu participated in the inauguration of the Winter Annual Edition 2025 of the Amrit Udyan. The statement said, “Amrit garden will open to the general public from February 2 to March 30.”
Booking and entry free
Booking and admission in the garden is free and for this, one has to pass from the official portal of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The statement said that people would not be allowed to enter the park without booking. Entry and exit for all visitors will be from Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan, which is close to Rashtrapati Bhavan from North Avenue.

Shuttle bus service available
The statement said that a shuttle bus service will be available between the Central Secretariat Metro station to gate number 35 every 30 minutes from 9:30 AM to 6 pm. This year, along with tulip, visitors will be able to see 140 different types of roses and more than 80 other flowers in Amrit Udyan.

You can take a taxi, auto or metro to reach Amrit garden. The Union Secretary Metro Station is the nearest to the Amrit Udyan.
Sir Edwin Lutyens designed
This beautiful garden was designed by British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1928–1929 and was completed in 1931. In 2023, the Mughal Garden was renamed Amrit Park.
