Cricket and fixing have a very old relationship. Many times, the players and teams have been serious allegations of fixing. Meanwhile, a case of fixing has come to light in a large T20 league. This league is none other than Bangladesh Premier League. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Farooq Ahmed has called for strict action against the players and managing officers found guilty of match fixing or spot fixing. Several media reports claimed that match -fixing was done in some matches of Bangladesh Premier League being played in Bangladesh and the top authority is keeping a close watch on the matter after getting unknown clues.
Total so many teams and players join it
It is being told that the BCB’s anti -corruption unit has identified eight matches in which the fixing was done. They are currently on suspicion of match fixing or spot fixing and officials are currently dealing with the matter, but no decision has been taken. The report also claimed that at least 10 players and four out of seven teams are currently under investigation for wrongdoings.
Six of the ten cricketers under the purview of investigation have represented Bangladesh in international cricket. Two of them play domestic cricket while the other two are foreign cricketers. The franchise has 12 stories of Durbar Rajshahi and Dhaka Capitals due to which they are under suspicion, while six strippers of Silhet Strikers and two stories of Chittagong Kings.

Meanwhile, Farooq refrained from making more comments on the matter. He said that investigation is going on and if someone is found guilty, he will be punished severely which will become an example for others. Farooq said to the cricbage on Friday, see until the investigation is completed, I cannot make any official comment in this regard because there is a protocol that we have to follow.
